Professional Development Series, that assists anyone in the industry to understand the technical and practical aspects: "applied knowledge" of Mechanical Services.
Seminar 1: Air Diffusion 24th March (Wed) 9am—Noon:
Ewen Brunskill and Paul Cronin (Holyoake Industries) will conduct this seminar and demonstrate in their purpose built laboratory air distribution fundamentals. Participants can actively measure air velocity and see differences in performance from a variety of diffus-ers. There will be an introduction to Fire Dampers as well as a short factory tour included. This seminar is aimed at apprentices, site foremen / site managers level . Morning tea will be provided.
Seminar 2: Fan IQ 25th March (Thurs) 9am-11.30am
Nigel McQueen (Fantech) will demonstrate fan types, characteristics including efficiencies and pitfalls. This seminar will be held in the training room at Aquatherm. Morning Tea will be provided
Seminar 3: PPR 25th March (Thurs) 1pm –4pm
Pete Worsnop (Aquatherm) has tailor made this course which will introduce an innovative pipe system PPR and cover: fusion (socket, electric), sliding Sleeve butt weld-ing and a practical session. This seminar will be held in the Aquatherm training room. Refreshments provided.

HVAC Contractors Association
At the annual forum, of the HVAC Contractors industry skill gaps were identified. As a result a training programme has been ratified. This is the first one of the series and is aimed primarily at designers, engineers, senior staff, site managers and sales teams. It will focus on product knowledge, correct selection for the application, energy efficiencies, commissioning, and testing methods. These sessions will be hands on with ample opportunity to ask question of industry experts and network with fellow colleagues during and after each seminar.
HVAC Contractors is involved in the setting of industry standards, ensuring apprentices are trained to the highest standards and provided ongoing training for members in new technologies and trend.
